  • “Better to illuminate than merely to shine, to deliver to others contemplated truths than merely to contemplate.”
    Thomas Aquinas

I wonder, is this really true? I am conflicted with this issue. Whenever I learn some spectacular truth about this life and the Lord, I am always tempted to almost immediately tell other people. In doing this, I forget to dwell on it myself. And I forget to let that awesome truth sink in deep and to let it take root in my own self.

I cant help but feel that I should make sure I really have taken in that truth wholeheartedly before I tell others. Its almost like the safety directions they give you while your boarding a plane. In case of a crash landing, you are to put your mask on first and then help the people around you.
But then again, I’m sure I could multitask. Im not sure. Any opinions?
